What’s your biggest business win?
Starting and growing a business that has allowed me to be home and spend all the time I want with my kiddos, be able to provide a job for myself and my husband, AND get to pick who I work with - we have the BEST clients!

How does knowing your numbers help with your business’s success?
It's the most important thing. We are fully self-employed, and knowing our numbers means we know where we stand, how much income we have, how much out-go is happening - if we didn't know where our numbers were... we wouldn't be in business.

What is one of the main reasons your business is succeeding? Let us in on your secret.
Besides God blessing us? Consistency and having a heart towards serving our clients.

What business finance advice would you give to fellow business owners?
Do whatever you can (hustle) so that you don't have to take out business loans. Work 50 hours per week on and in your business, max out your own capacity, then double your capacity by hiring your first employee.

What positive changes have you noticed since partnering with Silver Leaf Office?
I save so much time! I know how much my business is making, how much I'm spending, and it's so nice to have a person to bounce ideas off of who isn't in the day-to-day. Payroll and bookkeeping aren't in my area of expertise, so I was spending way too much time trying to figure it out. Brittney comes in and becomes a part of the team.

What advice would you give to other business owners who are considering hiring a bookkeeper?
Just do it. I meet a lot of business owners who are trying to DIY it (and doing a terrible job at it - I was one of them). Just knowing where your business stands puts you miles ahead and allows you to make decisions with data, which is so important in business. Besides Brittney's skill in bookkeeping (and all things in the accounting world), she is just lovely to work with. You really see that she cares for people and becomes a cheerleader in your corner. Outsourcing our Bookkeeping to Silver Leaf was one of the best business decisions we could have made. Money very well spent!
